Welcome!

Experience the joy of pottery.  Learn and create at our fully equipped and inviting Calgary "community" studio.  Adult classes from beginner to advanced.  With prices starting at $85.00 we have something for everyone!

After a lot of hard work from a lot of people we were finally able to open at our new location at the start of 2025.  We now have 12 wheels, kilns, shelving space, lockers, extruder, slab roller, pug mill and every other ceramics tool and supplies you need to create your masterpiece.  We also have a showroom of fantastic pottery items for sale.  All in a warm, inviting and secure space in a great new place just off Deerfoot Trail! 

Interested in taking a pottery class in Calgary?

Whether you've never touched clay or are looking to brush up on your skills, our classes and skilled instructors will guide you through every step. No experience needed; just bring your curiosity and get ready to create!

Check out all of our classes including: Beginner Pottery, Date Night, Carve and Create or check out the Introduction to Pottery to see if it's for you. Each class or event is limited to 10-12 students so that everyone has access to their own wheel for the duration of the class.

Our studio is also the ideal location if you live just South of Calgary (e.g. Okotoks) as we are the only full community pottery studio south of Glenmore Trail. 

OUR MISSION

At Pottery 123 our mission is to guide aspiring pottery enthusiasts in mastering fundamental techniques like hand building, slab building and wheel throwing. We specialize in working with beginners to help them achieve proficiency in pottery.

- Patience and persistence: Pottery requires patience and concentration at every stage, from centering the clay to finishing it. 

- Flaws add character and value: The value in pottery is that each piece is unique and any flaws or random ideas can actually add to the beauty and artistry of a piece.

- Community and relationship building: By participating in our group sessions, or just even being in the studio after classes for practice, you  become part of a close-knit community of other people who have similar interests and who can help and support you in your creativity journey.
